As with all our materials, our leather is sourced local to our shoe factory, in León, México. León is arguably the shoe capital of the world, with 3,400 shoe factories as of 2014. The entire supply chain for shoemaking is ingeniously clustered there, making it much easier to specify, source, design, deliver, and respond to issues if necessary.

We are proud to make our shoes with leather from Curtidos Futura, a family business since 1928. Their commitment to the environment goes beyond nice words. They sought out the Leather Working Group's rigorous Environmental Stewardship Audit, and earned a Silver Rating.
